What was your motivation to start the study?

My motivation for the study was related to the founding of SI Heroes. I've been part of it for a long time and sometimes I think I can tell if someone carries the "founder gene". The idea I had early on was to create an offer which would work out in a structured way the patterns which unite us founders.

This involves personal profiles on the one hand, but in a next step also team profiles that are put in relation to each other, and a general strength and development profile for start-ups. In principle such an offer only exists in the corporate area and not for startups. This is why we now want to explore the profiles of the Austrian startup scene in a first step.

Why do you use MINDONEpotential?

In principle, we have looked at many diagnostic partners and have also screened startups that do similar things. We have also considered whether it makes sense to program our own test. The decision to choose MINDONE as a partner came from the fact that, firstly, no classic labels are put on people. This psychometric procedure is based on scientifically sound methods, each of which provides a standardized but very elaborate report. I particularly like the fact that each profile stands on its own and that the individual strengths and development potentials are always presented.

What is the point of participating in the study for the participants?

Each participant gets a feedback and a report - Where am I at the moment? What are my strengths and what do I want to work on?

As part of the study, we also offer coaching sessions, which then put this into context. On the one hand, this is based on previous experience, but also, if the entire management/founder team participates, on a common view of the team and the opportunities it offers. What should the respective startup watch out for when hiring, what skill-set does the management team need in a stronger way, etc.?

In addition, each individual profile helps us to draw conclusions for the entire ecosystem. Where can these founder profiles still be looked for and found, how can obstacles - e.g. for female founders - be removed, etc.?

Many connections will only become visible at the end of the study and a benchmark towards classic management profiles will also provide further insights. We are very pleased about this study and would like to thank all our partners for making it possible.
